December can be a very hectic time of the year for many people including myself.  It's a popular time for family photos and in order for the clients to have them early enough, they have to be done preferably by the first week of December, in order to make it onto the holiday cards. This year I decided to not do mini sessions and holiday promotions for a very selfish reason.  I wanted to give my family more of my time and embrace the Christmas spirit in a less hectic way that usually is more challenging for me. I wanted to take a step back and not let the holiday pressure add more stress to my already hectic schedule.  When I met this wonderful couple for a portrait session, I got so exited because they gave me a true Christmas themed session that has more or less been absent this month for me. It was truly a very relaxing and joyful time that enforced the importance of enjoying the moment.  Both Jill and John were such troopers and made do with the improvised dressing room, also referred to as "the bushes". And how adorable is little Toby in his Santa outfit! He was a firecracker. Every time I hunched down to take photos, he came running right away, which made it more challenging to capture him with the camera. Luckily he got tired and decided to jump into the wooden box I had brought, and I could capture some sweet images just before the sun set. Jill, John and Toby, have a wonderful Christmas Holiday!
