This is stunning Lexi. She lives in Valencia and is a hard-working high school senior student with a background in dance just like her sister, who I also had the opportunity to photograph a couple of years ago. Her sweet, bubbly personality made this shoot a total joy. She loves to read and is looking to stay in her home state, sunny CA for college.

When we started to talk about what she wanted for her senior pictures she also asked if there was a chance to incorporate some nighttime city shots. After a full afternoon of posing in front of the camera, I asked her if she still had the energy to move into night shooting. She was tired and hungry but the answer was still YES. Mom came to the rescue with something to eat and drink and she found enough energy to stick it out until I had switched out some of my gear, gotten some test shots out of the way, and added some string light that I had brought along for the "just in case" moment.

I was thrilled with this challenge. The city lights we had available just weren't enough to create the effect I had in mind so the "just in case" string lights became our best friend. No, I'm not a nighttime street photographer but I will always try something new.  So for the sake of fun, If you scroll down to the end of this post you will see what came off it.

Just because we can:) Bonus fun!!!
