The annual performance of Gervais Dance Company is always a highlight.  Through the 5+ years, my daughter has danced with this studio, there have been moments she has wanted to quit.  Juggling homework and many hours of weekly practices takes its toll. Just the thought of missing this big show has been enough to get through the harder times. I took on the responsibility of photographing this event 3 years ago and it really is a project of love more than anything.  2 days of tech rehearsals, 2 days of performance with 2 shows back to back each day. That's a lot of hours and a lot pre and post work from a photographers perspective. I do it because I love to see their passion while dancing.  Though school is wrapped up for most kids, summer vacation will truly not begin until this event is conquered. In the end, it is about the love of dance for all these girls and boys. The owner, teachers, and volunteers put in so much work to make it a beautiful show. What makes it even more fun is that the dancers come in all ages.   What better way to preserve these moments than some artistic images.   Enjoy these sneak peeks from a few of the dances and dancers!  Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018   Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018 Gervais Recital 2018
