When I decided to do this photoshoot I knew I needed a spectacular backdrop.  I have come to this place many times and it felt like the perfect place to showcase this sensational ballerina.  I wanted to capture the soft feminine, clean beauty that represents the art, because i truly believe that watching a dancer of any form is true art. I also knew I wanted more drama and contrast just to bring it up a few notches.  Just as the light hit the perfect time we could hear in the distance how the ranger announced the closure of the park.  At that point I was so determined to get the images I had intended, so I  took the chance by ignoring the announcements.  I figured it was better to ask for forgiveness after, than walk away without the last images, and wouldn't that have made for a great conversation later.  Well, a few sweat drops later I had what I wanted and the ranger was patiently waiting for us by the gates.  We bowed to the ranger as we passed him, with the biggest smile we could possible produce, and counted our blessings that we didn't run into any further complications. The client and her mom were awesome to stick with me on this one. I hope when they see the images they will forgive me for inflicting the added stress.
